Chinese massage concentrates on manipulating the energy pathways of the body so that health and happiness can be attained. Massages are useful because they activate the body’s qi, creating a smooth flow that promotes good mental health and a relaxed mind. There are basically 2 techniques in this massage the first one is Tui na which pushing, kneading and stretching the muscle and the second is Zhi ya which is where the muscle is pinched and pressed on your acupressure points. Benefits of Chinese massage include more energy, stronger immune system, helps with lactic acid build up, sciatica, back pain, neck pain, better sleep, general aches and muscle pains, help with recovery of an injury etc.

Acupuncture is said to keep the yin and yang balanced through the manipulation of various acupuncture points which allows the qi to flow normally. The end result of acupuncture is a restored mind and body. There are as many as 2,000 acupuncture points distributed all over the body that are linked by 12 energy pathways or meridians. Acupuncture is great for 1000’s of conditions including muscle pain, headaches, migraines, allergies, depression, anxiety and mood conditions digestive problems, inducing labor, facial pains, sciatica, morning sickness, painful periods, blood pressure and so much more.
Moxibustion is when a concoction of herbs called “Moxa” are burned very close to the skin or on certain skin points, this process is said to heat up and increase the flow of Qi in the body and to get rid of certain pathogenic influences. Conditions that can benefit from moxibustion include arthritis and pain that responds to warmth, bowel or digestion problems such as IBS and constipation, gynaecological problems, coughs and or breathing issues to name a few.
